Preventive Services help keep families together.
Preventive Programs available in Brooklyn and Staten Island provide case management and counseling services to families at risk of losing their children to foster care or involvement in Family Court. Through individual and group work, home visits, and crisis intervention, Case planners assist families to develop safe and nurturing environments for their children.
Preventive services are available to any family with a child who is under the age of 18 and who are:

Having difficulty managing and/or understanding their child’s behavior.

Having a difficult time dealing with their child’s adolescence.

Coping with the loss of a loved one through death, separation or divorce.

Families at risk of having a child placed in foster care.
